The way you know its summer here is by the faint blue hue that doesn’t fade until late night, and it seems everything has turned green and leafy almost overnight.

Check out http://81eightone.tumblr.com, a current daily project of mine.

“81eightone” is a project created through my desire to take more photos and my partner deciding that I needed to talk less and act more. In an attempt to motivate me into the habit of taking pictures daily, my partner bought me a new 50mm lens. However, he has insisted that I sign a non-legally binding contact that says I must earn full rights to my new present by taking one picture a day for every pound he has spent on it. Thus the title of this blog, “81,” represents the number of days I must post at least one picture.

It is my hope that I can receive feedback from other photographers and friends though this blog in order to build my skills as a photographer and continue to develop my own style.

Please follow me on tumblr and leave comments if you would like to contribute to my personal growth and inadvertently make me feel super vulnerable about posting my photos everyday of weird things.
